Maxine Malone
Director
Butch was a retired Professor of Mathematics from Shawnee State University and a dedicated community servant. He was instrumental in developing the 14th Street Community Center and it's sister location: The 17th Street Learning Annex. His legacy of service endures in the hearts of those who knew him.

Andrew earned his
Bachelor of Arts & Sciences in International Relations from Shawnee State University and continues to be a positive influence, advocating for diversity and community engagement.

Amanda earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Shawnee State University and works to promote the arts through youth education programs, local happenings and community involvement initiatives.

Carla earned her Education degrees from Shawnee State University and The University of Cincinnati. Her career has been devoted to a community-based social service agency and her expertise lies in Family & Community Engagement.

Leanne Johnson
Leanne earned her Bachelor of Arts in English & Humanities from Shawnee State University. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in banking, financial education and economic development.

Evan Fisher
Evan is an active member of Second Presbyterian Church and preaches at several different churches in Portsmouth. He enjoys watching Baylor Women's basketball and birdwatching with his wife Marge.

John is a retired Professor of Philosophy from Shawnee State University and is committed to the Center's mission of serving Portsmouth and surrounding Scioto County, while continuing to provide a home away from home for African-Americans and people of color.
